During October and November a new database of accommodation facilities has been created, the design as well as the navigation structure have been changed, the information have been presented by a new HTML code. The optimized website launched in the middle of December. And what about the traffic? For the sake of validity let us not analyze January and February, the top skiing season, but let us review November 2004 with the weakest winter month March 2005 when we can see the fruits of optimization as well as in January and February. While in November there have been 147 visitors daily at Ingtours, in March three times more - 427 visitors a day while there has been no paid marketing support. The power of optimization can be seen also in the influx of visitors from internet search engines. At the end of 2004, Google brought 449 people while the next spring it was already 3802 visitors - other search engines were not left behind and the increase of visitors from the search engines raised from 2.7% up to more than 12% which is one of the most interesting data of these statistics. No wonder. If you search the phrase "accommodation Giant Mountains" you find Ingtours pages in Google at the first 2 places out of 171 thousands of results (as of April 4, 2005). Similarly, a nice phrase "accommodation spa resorts" returns Ingtours on the 1st spot among 753 thousands of pages. These phrases are not essential for the traffic, it is important that the website collects visitors on thousands specific keywords of various kinds thanks to the quality content and well-done web. The risk of dependency on a few key phrases, which may drop down, is then minimized. The investor naturally cares for the traffic at the second place. The most important indicator, the conversion ratio between a visit and a realized business contract, has been raised 10 times. We succeeded in bringing not a casual traffic but specific visitors who are interested in offered services. |
